Welcome to Turned to Salt, a collection of poetry and fiction that evolved during my twelve year foray (and counting) into the wild wild world, from the deserts of Western Australia to the slums of Paris, from the concrete jungles of Singapore to the heart of Istanbul, Los Angeles, Cambodia, New York.
This is about politics, the human experience, the question of suffering, philosophy, theology and ultimately a dialogue between you, the reader, and me. This is why I write: my role in art is to ask questions, start conversations and share experiences.
So, ask me questions or give me answers. And by all means, enjoy the poetry for poetry’s sake.
I wish you bliss,
Singapore, Monsoon Season, 2012
